Autumn Poetry
And time has come…
When Angel’s crying in dismay,
With every tear shedding sacred light
Thou know not what thou can say -
But watch a sparkle’s dying in the night.
Yet challenge’s burning in thy restless heart
Enraptured by such fairy autumn air
Away from darkness and despair
Thy spirit wishes to depart.
The rustle of the wings thou hear no more,
Thou let thy dream to drown in the waters of dark lake
For thou forgot how cherished it before.
‘Twas hard to gain yet simple to forsake.
Frail faith in wonders shattered and split -
From heavens stars fall but in vain
And thou are looking for the shelter from this bane
So unaware of the shade beneath thy feet.
A ghostly melody is heard in night’s embraces
It’s wind who’s singing lullaby to trees.
In cradles upon children’s tranquil faces
The smiling moon lays an enigmatic kiss.
A mere dreamful slumber it may be
Where thy uneasy heart will find the rest,
Yet love entwines with grieve in constant quest…
Seek for the refuge in blessed Poetry!
